Ex-Employee Attacks Chinese Manager

SELEBI-PHIKWE: A Chinese manager was last week assaulted by a former employee as allegations of abuse against Chinese employers continue.

The affected manager works for Jiangsu International, a company that won a multimillion Pula tender to carry out works on the storm water drainage system in the town's western area.

Kolema Nsendami said he reacted violently the Chinese manager had been unfair to him. Nsendami, who worked as a carpenter at Jiangsu, was sacked on March 3 this year after he refused to buy protective clothing from his salary, as directed by management.
