Engineering firm imparts skills to Botswana Interns

Ampcontrol, a leading engineering company in Botswana and South Africa has announced an initiative to upskill Batswana graduates through a smart partnership with the Department of National Internship Programme in the Ministry of Labour and Home Affairs.

Already, three Batswana engineering graduates are undergoing internship at the company's Jwaneng operation in Botswana. Their success has culminated in the decision to transfer additional engineering interns, Innocent Seru (electrical) and Gomolemo Lebanna (mechatronical) and Boitumelo Sepora (mechanical) to the company's manufacturing facility in South Africa.

Henlo Blignaut, managing director of Ampcontrol Africa has said the external placement is in line with the policy of attaching Batswana abroad to expose them to the global working environment to develop human resource competitiveness.
