Two men aged between 26 and 38 from Thito ward in Maun landed in hot water after they were found in possession of teeth suspected to be of a lion, raising fears of increased poaching activity in the area.

According to Maun Police Station commander, Superintendent Joseph Lepodise, the two suspects were caught on Saturday evening after the cops received a tip-off about individuals allegedly carrying lion teeth.

Acting on the information, plainclothed officers tracked the suspects and found them in possession of four lion teeth.
