Duo nabbed in possession of lion teeth

Two men aged between 26 and 38 from Thito ward in Maun landed in hot water after they were found in possession of teeth suspected to be of a lion, raising fears of increased poaching activity in the area.

According to Maun Police Station commander, Superintendent Joseph Lepodise, the two suspects were caught on Saturday evening after the cops received a tip-off about individuals allegedly carrying lion teeth.

Acting on the information, plainclothed officers tracked the suspects and found them in possession of four lion teeth.
