Driving schools declare war on

SELEBI-PHIKWE: Booking for a road test at the Department of Road Transport and Safety (DRTS) office in Selebi-Phikwe remains a headache for many individuals who want to obtain their driver's license.

Some people have been forced to on several occasions forced to sleep in front of the office as a way of beating the queue the following morning.

In an interview with Mmegi, Chairperson of Bobirwa, Mmadinare and Selebi-Phikwe Driving Schools Association, Ditiro Doctor said they are concerned about the latest developments at the DRTS office.He noted that forbidding driving schools from booking road tests for their clients was a bad move.Doctor also stated that since they are tasked with the mandate of teaching learners to drive, they can tell who is ready for a test, but with this change anyone would be free to go ahead and book even if they aren't ready.
