Drag race claims another life

MOCHUDI: "Car racing and spinning do not go together." These are the words of an uncle once again, who tried to advise the deceased not to play with cars as if they are toys but paid no heed.

The drag race held in Mochudi at the end of May this year has taken another life, of 26-year old Otsile Mantswe.This is in addition to the death of his sister, Dimakatso and the daughter of his aunt who were not involved in the race.

The aunt's daughter was buried on Sunday last week, a day after Otsile and Dimakatso were interred.It is said Dimakatso collapsed when she heard that Otsile, who had been lying in critical condition at Deborah Retief Memorial Hospital (DRMH) ICU after the accident had died. The aunt's daughter died when she heard that both Otsile and Dimakatso are no more.
