DPP to decide on Moroka case

Chief Executive Officer of De Beers Botswana Neo Moroka may soon find himself in the dock to explain tha last moments before he shot and killed a man at his farm on the night of April 22, 2014. The Directorate of Public Prosecution is scrutinising his docket to determine whether or not to prosecute him.

The Botswana Police have concluded investigations into the Neo Moroka shooting and handed over the docket to the Directorate of public prosecution (DPP) for determination.

Yesterday, senior assistant commissioner of police, divisional commander south, Oreeditse Mautle, told Mmegi that it is now up to the DPP to decide whether or not to prosecute the De Beers Botswana chief executive officer and former Minister of Trade and Industry. The docket was handed over on May 9.
