Deputy sheriff dismisses Mfa's claim of payment

Former Assistant Minister, Oliphant Mfa has accused a deputy sheriff of trying to discredit him by publishing a notice to auction his plot for failure to pay.

Mfa said yesterday that the sheriff knows that he committed to pay his debt. He stated that he has paid P110,000 and told the sheriffs he will clear the debt by next week.

"So you can imagine my shock when I saw the advert and later a story in the papers that they are auctioning my plot," he said.
