Death on delivery

A 21-year old woman was found hanging in a maternity ward toilet at Princess Marina Hospital in Gaborone after she gave birth to a child a day before, according to sources at the scene when the body was found Monday morning.

"From the look of things, she left the baby late in the evening and slipped into the toilets where she committed suicide," said a source who requested anonymity. Another source pointed out that the woman used the cord of a cellular phone to kill.

Meanwhile, the police aknowledged that such a cord might have been used, but they believe death might have occurred by the use of a head scarf.
