Looking back, former president of the Botswana Peoples Party, Bernard Balikani says that he succeeded in turning the image of the country's oldest political party around though it never translated into votes, writes

FRANCISTOWN: "I have not resigned from the Botswana Peoples Party (BPP); I resigned from the party leadership," explains former BPP leader, Bernard Balikani.

"I am still a member of the BPP. My resignation from the BPP leadership should not be construed to mean that I was a coward after the party's poor showing in the 2009 general elections."
