Couple perishes in suspected 'passion killing' crash

A couple died in a road accident over the weekend, in what law enforcement officers suspect to be a love-related 'passion killing' following a domestic dispute.

The deceased, a 30-year-old man from Palapye and his 27-year-old girlfriend of Pilane, died on the spot after the vehicle they were travelling in collided with a horse and a trailer truck.

The crash happened near Bonwapitse Bridge, which is about 20 kilometres from Mahalapye.
