Council acts on defaulting tenants

SELEBI-PHIKWE: Selebi-Phikwe Town Council (SPTC) has issued final reminders to the Ministry of Health (MoH) personnel occupying its houses to clear their rent arrears that stand at P352,828.52 or face eviction and litigation.

The reminders were issued in August for them to have settled the arrears by end of October.

SPTC complained that as a result of unpaid rental arrears, they incurred more costs in payment of subsidy to Botswana Housing Corporation (BHC) for leased houses occupied by the said health personnel at P177,000 every quarter of the year.
