COSBOTS does not make choice of music for radio stations'

FRANCISTOWN: The National Broadcasting Board is not authorised to determine which music is played on radio, the Corporate Communications Manager of Copyright Society of Botswana (COSBOTS), Itumeleng Mangole, told councillors here this week.

Mangole was honouring an invitation of the City Council of Francistown that was extended to COSBOTS during the last full council last year.

Responding to a question from the Councillor for Monarch East, Raoboy Mpuang, on Wednesday, Mangole said the board does not have any authority to regulate which music is played on radio stations and their duty is to provide stations with licences to operate.
