Continuous registration suspended

SELEBI-PHIKWE: The Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) has suspended continuous registration for Ikageleng Phase One ward to avoid confusion in the impending bye-election following the death of councillor Letsweletse Dinale of the Botswana Democratic Party (BDP).

Selebi-Phikwe IEC Principal Elections Officer, Molatlhegi Baloi, said the suspension is only relevant to Ikageleng Phase One ward, but the rest of the electorates can continue to register.

Continuous registration is expected to continue until the next general elections and is necessary for those who did not register in the last general elections.
