Cllr Threatens To Disrupt GCC Meetings

Sebele ward councillor, Lemme Kgopa has warned Gaborone City Council (GCC) clerk, Kutlwano Matenge, that he will spearhead the disruption of every council meeting if the demands of vendors are not addressed.

"I will make sure that no (council) committee (meeting) sits until you attend to the pleas of the vendors and allow them to trade," Kgopa warned Matenge. The councillor has asked vendors to come in large numbers to the council offices tomorrow when the trading and licences committee meets.

He said if the vendors have not have been allowed to trade, they should join councillors in disrupting the meeting.
