FRANCISTOWN: Following the published story of poverty-stricken Kesegofetse Mmutle on February 14, Satellite North councillor, James Kgalajwe, has promised to come to her rescue.

Kgalajwe said: "As the area councillor of Satellite North I am aware of Kesegofetse Mmutle's situation.  When I first visited her even before the story was published, I was profoundly touched.  The first thing I did was to have her registered with the Social Welfare Department for her to be provided with food and build her a house."

He further revealed that although she gets a food basket, it is not enough to sustain her and her dependents, as the family is too big.  Such a distressing situation, he said, has compelled him, with the help of the principal state attorney of lands, Moloko Mokgokong, to contribute food to her.
