Chinese envoy, police chief in tete-a-tete

The ambassador of the Peoples Republic of China to Botswana, Ding Xiaowen has urged Chinese nationals in Botswana to abide by the laws of the country in order to promote the good relations that exist between China and Botswana and for sustained economic development of the two countries.

The ambassador said this during a courtesy call on the commissioner of the Botswana Police Service, Thebeyame Tsimako yesterday.

Xiaowen said compliance with the country's labour laws by Chinese companies operating in Botswana and Chinese nationals residing in the country would be mutually beneficial.
