Chinese donate P15, 000 to HIV patients

FRANCISTOWN: The Light and Courage Centre has received a donation of P15, 000 from the Francistown Chinese community. The Francistown branch of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce presented the city mayor Shadreck Nyeku, with the donation.

Speaking to The Monitor after the donation, director of the Francistown Chinese Chamber of Commerce, Gao Yuwang said his organisation is willing to contribute to the wellbeing of Batswana, noting that good health for all is a necessity in any country.

He also indicated that the Francistown branch of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce always encourages its members to get involved in charitable undertakings like this one. "Thus, we encourage our members in the business community of Francistown to contribute some money so that we are able to help those that are underprivileged," explained Yuwang.
