China delegation pays courtesy call on Merafhe

A 12-member Chinese delegation is expected to pay a courtesy call on Vice-President Lieutenant Mompati Merafhe today.

The delegation is led by Wang Zhizhen, who is also vice-president of the Chinese Association for International Understanding (CAFUI), an organisation that strives to "enhance mutual understanding between China and the world."

The purpose of the three-day visit is to "further promote the friendly cooperative relationship between the legislatures of China and Africa," a press release from Botswana Parliament states.  Botswana Parliament is hosting the delegation.
