Chairman lauds inter-party cooperation at KDC

The president of the Botswana National Front Youth League (BNFYL) Kgosietsile Mooketsi says inter-party cooperation among councillors accounts for the prevailing smooth running of Kgatleng District Council (KDC).

Mooketsi, who was making his inaugural speech since taking over from Botswana Congress Party (BCP) councillor Stephen Makhura of Malolwane as council chairman, said his road map is guided by the already existing Vision 2016 mission statements as well as the national development principles of democracy, development, self-reliance, unity, social justice and botho.

He said while these national principles and Vision 2016 mission statements have continued to command common ownership among Batswana, those who hold positions of political leadership have always approached them in their own ways. Like Frank Sinatra, he said, he would "do it his way" in working to achieve the national goals.
