Cable thief hospitalised after electric shock

A suspected cable thief aged 39 is currently fighting for his life in hospital after things went south when attempting to steal electricity cables. The incident occurred at Masetlheng ward in Tlokweng on Saturday early morning.

It was around 3:30am when the whole street experienced a blackout and residents contacted the police as they suspected it was not an ordinary load shedding.

Local police in the village reacted to the report and arrested four men aged between 24 and 30 who later directed the police to the other suspect who had just suffered an electric shock and was injured.
