Bulela Ditswe Wounds Taking Long To Heal - Rammidi

The ruling Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) Executive Committee is advancing a thousand reasons to justify its controversial lobby to suspend party elections in July.

Critics view the decision as a cowardly strategy by the dominant Merafhe-Nkate faction which is sensing a defeat. BDP deputy secretary general Kentse Rammidi's announcement that he "won't defend his position" has not helped matters either. His critics say he senses defeat at the hands of newcomer Wynter Molotsi, a Francistown South parliamentary candidate.

Rammidi says the damage caused by Bulela di tswe has been huge and is taking long to heal. Already the party has seen over 70 BDP losing candidates now standing as independents.
