'Bulela Ditswe' opens gates to BPP

FRANCISTOWN: The Botswana Peoples' Party (BPP)'s star is on the rise as it continues to register disgruntled members from the ruling Botswana Democratic Party (BDP).

Latest to decamp to the BPP is Somerset East Councillor, Reverend Phillip Butale.Although Butale did not want to confirm or deny that he had defected to the BPP, the party's secretary general, Edward Mpoloka confirmed the reports.

Meshack Matsheka recently defeated Butale during the controversial BDP 'Bulela Ditswe' primary elections. Since the primary elections were marred by controversy, the BPP recruitment machine became active and started courting the disgruntled BDP losers, Butale included.
