BTU suspends NEC member

The Botswana Teachers Union (BTU) has suspended its National Executive Committee (NEC) member and sports convener, Ohilwe Fani for defying the unions resolution on extra-curricular activities in schools.

The secretary general of BTU, Ibo Nana Kenosi told Mmegi yesterday that Fani admitted to mobilising teachers to act against the resolution made recently by the teachers’ unions, among them the Botswana Sectors of Educators Trade Union (BOSETU).
