BPP releases its election manifesto

FRANCISTOWN: The Botswana Peoples Party (BPP) has released its 2009 election manifesto, cataloguing reasons why it should be voted into power in October.

The BPP promises to broaden Botswana's economic base by diversifying the economy through agricultural development and manufacturing. The party also promises to create employment and considerably reduce poverty. The BPP further promises to provide all children, including the disabled, with free education, better healthcare and more opportunities for development and growth.

Like other opposition parties, the BPP claims to be committed to all immanent tenets of social justice. Social justice, the BPP states, embraces and stimulates economic growth.
