Botswana needs divine intervention - Nkaigwa

Denying foreign pastors visas to enter the country and deporting others can only place a curse on Botswana, Gaborone Mayor Haskins Nkaigwa says.

Speaking during the ongoing Gaborone City Council meeting this week, Nkaigwa told councillors that there were sins that this country had committed and it shall not receive God's blessings unless His forgiveness is sought. The mayor said that from a spiritual point of view, every word that has been spoken against this country becomes a curse, and that needs to be spiritually broken.  "We need God to be the leader in this country and therefore I call for the unity of the body of Christ to pray for God-fearing leaders to lead this country.

"For the Bible says the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom," he said.
