Botswana Meat Workers Union Splits?

FRANCISTOWN: Botswana Meat Workers Industry Union (BMIWU) has ultimately split over unresolved issues that have dogged union leaders for some time.

The union that has been struggling with factions for years has now split, with some employees of the Francistown Botswana Meat Commission (BMC) going one way and the Lobatse BMC the other way.

The man who is leading the splinter group, BMIWU former deputy secretary general Joshua Gabriel, says they found it necessary to register another union because they were simply not on the same page with their fellow unionists anymore.
