BOSETU favours Namibia model

FRANCISTOWN: Botswana Secondary School Teachers' Union (BOSETU) wants to open its membership right from pre-school to tertiary like the teachers union of Namibia.

According to BOSETU's presidential report, the national executive visited the Teachers' Union of Namibia sometime in April on a bench-marking exercise and they were happy to report that they learnt a lot on union activities.

"The striking thing I want to highlight is the fact that in Namibia, membership is open right from pre-school to tertiary, something that we need to start thinking a lot about in this conference, and if possible, to come up with a resolution.
