BOSETU chiefs furious over ministry's Edict

BOSETU publicity secretary Raymond Malinga said they were shocked to receive a savingram, instructing schools to resume extra-curricular activities by allocating an hour within the eight-hour working period per day.
Malinga said that unions met with ministry officials on February 6 to discuss their proposal on incorporating co-curricular activities into the eight-hour working schedule. They were then astonished to receive the savingram from the Regional Directors with instructions from the ministry to resume extra-curricular activities."We have not yet agreed on the matter but the ministry has already made a decision, which shows that the ministry is dealing with us in bad faith," charged a visibly perturbed Malinga.
