BOFEPUSU calls for education Pitso

Botswana Federation of Public Private Parastatals Sector Union (BOFEPUSU) president Johannes Tshukudu has called on the Ministry of Basic Education to convene an education Pitso.

Tshukudu told a press conference this week that they were concerned about the recent academic results from both the Primary School Leavers Examinations (PSLE) and Junior Certificate Examinations (JCE). He said while there was slight improvement on the 2017 results, much still needed to be done.

“Education is supposed to be a tool preparing human resource in the development of our country. We are concerned on results reduction that we have been experiencing the pass years. We must have an education Pitso where it can be discussed issues that can improve education,” he said.
