Bobirwa BDP council candidate forced out of race

SELEBI-PHIKWE: Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) in Bobirwa constituency is gearing up for another primary election following the withdrawal of Masego ward council candidate Goja Dikinya.

Dikinya, who is a nominated councillor, is under investigation by the police for alleged voter trafficking. As reported earlier, the police have recovered some registration cards from him and implicated Independent Electoral Commission registration officers.

Bobirwa Sub Council chairman Ishmael Legwaila has confirmed that Dikinya has written to the region and the party central committee about his withdrawal from the race.
