BNF to report BDP government

FRANCISTOWN: The main opposition Botswana National Front (BNF) has threatened to report the Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) government to the SADC secretariat for failing to fund political parties.

"We are discussing this issue at our central committee meeting in Mogoditshane today (Friday). This issue is going to further feature at our two-day leadership retreat in Mogoditshane," explained BNF secretary general, Mohammed Khan yesterday.

"This is part of our fight for democracy as funding political parties would level the political playing field and enhance competition by all political parties," he said.
