The besieged party also resolved that all party members, collectively and individually, should work for party unity: "The National Executive Council (NEC) should enforce the clause in the constitution which gives it the power to co-opt any member of the party to fill any vacant post in the central committee (CC) and the NEC. The CC should revive all party structures in the country in preparation for the coming general elections," the conference resolved.
