The national executive committee (NEC) of the Botswana Movement for Democracy (BMD) was to meet with the youth’s NEC yesterday to discuss the controversial decision to postpone the elective youth congress.

On Saturday, the BMD youth league NEC met and resolved to postpone the congress which was to be held in Ramotswa next Saturday.

The decision was met with resistance and the debate on social media especially, saw party activists divided.
