BIUST relocation extended yet again

Plans to relocate the Botswana International University of Science and Technology (BIUST) to Palapye in August have hit a snag. As a result, relocation of students and teaching staff has been delayed for another four months.

Since the science university started operating last year, it has been accommodated at the Oodi College of Applied Arts and Technology campus (OCAAT) with the expectation that it would permanently relocate to Palapye in August, in time for the beginning of the first semester of the 2013/2014 academic year.

Information coming from BIUST this week indicates that the Palapye campus does not have adequate facilities and infrastructure to accommodate both the current students and the anticipated intake, expected to begin lectures in August.
