BIC moves towards paperless operations

The Botswana Insurance Company (BIC) is working on creating a green e-environment for all its processes. BIC communications manager, Komissa Burzlaff says they see this as a necessity even though going green is a challenge for both the public and private sectors.

He says the company believes going green has benefits and through the reduction of environmental damage, can have a positive social impact. BIC has taken technology and innovation to a new level and after a yearlong process, it has reorganised and transformed its business units to work towards a paperless environment.

Burzlaff says the company wants to maintain the notion that it is not only the leader of short-term insurance and an innovator in the sector, but also in keeping the client in mind when creating a green e-environment for all its processes.
