BDP urges 'unity' for constant victory

The Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) members have been told that unity is paramount for it has made the party win elections since Independence.

Speaking at the BDP's 58th National Council on Saturday, President Mokgweetsi Masisi said an essential pre-requisite to unity and its consolidation is unbridled discipline.

The BDP national council is held under the theme, 'Unity and Consolidation'. “We must be disciplined in our talk, what we write and exchange, and the impression created is how we win elections. It goes without saying that sustaining the stability and survival of the BDP depends on its capacity as a political organisation to work as a unified entity. By no means does this preclude diversity of thought as the BDP is not a monolithic party.
