BDP rejects Moatlhodi's appeal

The BDP's Central Committee which yesterday presided over Tonota South MP, Pono Moatlhodi's appeal and apology over his recall has decided not to give Moatlhodi a reprieve.

Mmegi can reveal that while the Central Committee deliberated and noted Moatlhodi's apology, the consensus was that the voluble MP should be left on the ropes to fall and thus confirming the party's earlier decision that the MP will not represent the party in the 2009 general elections.

BDP Executive Secretary, Dr Batlang Serema, told Mmegi that he could not talk to the media about the decision of the Central Committee before the party delivers the verdict to the constituency.
