The Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) has allegedly expelled its executive secretary Thabo Masalila. Sources within the party confirmed that Masalila was "shown the door" yesterday afternoon and ordered to hand over keys and everything that belongs to the party.

Other sources say party elders were not getting satisfactory answers regarding a recent road accident involving one of the party vehicles. Contacted for comment, Masalila said, "I know nothing about this, you can contact the secretary general maybe he knows something".
