BDP completes Palapye probe

The task force appointed by the Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) central committee to investigate the Minister of Health's claims about irregularities in the Palapye by-elections, has completed its findings. Specially elected MP Professor Sheila Tlou, who was one of the contenders, protested last month's Palapye primary election results, saying polling was not free and fair.

Tlou was narrowly defeated by Moiseraele Goya in the election called to find a replacement for MP Boyce Sebetela, who resigned last November to join Debswana. 

The committee, comprising BDP executive secretary Comma Serema, Pelonomi Venson-Moitoi and deputy secretary general Kentse Rammidi, visited Palapye last week to conduct investigations.
