FRANCISTOWN: A Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) activist who lost the last BDP parliamentary primary elections to Ignatius Moswaane before Moswaane decamped to the opposition Botswana Peoples Party (BPP) will be tried next year.

When the accused, Kago Phofuetsile, appeared before Magistrate Thabang Chokwe on Monday this week, the prosecution said that the trial dates set for March 7, 8, 22 and 24 in 2022 were still suitable for the prosecution.

Phofuetsile is accused of three counts of stealing by a person employed in the public service.
