BCP postpones primaries to focus on F/town by-election

FRANCISTOWN: The Botswana Congress Party (BCP) has put its primary elections on hold to focus on the upcoming by-election in Francistown West.

"The BCP executive recently learnt that those vying for party primaries in Francistown were focusing on their campaigns because the date for the primaries is fast approaching.

Instead people should be assisting the Francistown West by-election candidate during her campaigns. This is why we postponed the primaries to give all attention to the by-election," Gobotswang explained. He argued that the party has a fair chance of winning the November 23 by-election.
