FRANCISTOWN: The Botswana Congress Party (BCP) Political School that has failed to take off on three occasions was finally launched over the weekend at Mmokolodi Village near Gaborone. In an interview yesterday, BCP spokesperson Taolo Lucas said the party's executive committee members led by president Dumelang Saleshando attended the launch.

"The launch was officiated by the party's secretary for political education Florence Shagwa and the secretary for public education Phillip Bulawa. The content of the school curriculum was presented to the leadership. The party's executive committee members were also drilled on various topics of leadership and ideologies of the BCP at the launch. We wanted them to get a grasp of the curriculum and what the BCP stands for before the courses are rolled out to lower cadres of the party," Lucas said.

He further stated that at the launch executive committee members were allowed to air their views on how the academy syllabus can be strengthened. The executive committee members also made suggestions on how the classes can be efficiently rolled out to other structures of the party during the launch.
