BCL-Police Fight Explosives' Crimes

SELEBI-PHIKWE: BCL mine and the police have resolved to enhance their working relationship in a bid to curtail crime involving the use of explosives.

BCL organised a crime stakeholder's meeting on explosives attended by police officers drawn from Selebi-Phikwe on Friday. BCL Divisional Manager for Asset Management, Keenlord Dube, said the mine is fully cognisant of the legal, criminal and business implications of the problem of explosives. He said BCL is committed to working with law enforcement bodies and the community in general to help curb crime involving the use of stolen explosives.

"One of our core values at BCL is teamwork. We believe that a problem identified and shared by a team is a problem solved," Dube said.
