Batswana donate for Batho's kidney transplant

At last there seems to be a ray of hope for the 18-year-old chronic kidney disease patient, Batho Madigele, who has been surviving on a dialysis machine that costs him P15,000 every month, just to keep him alive.

His mother Nametso Madigele told Mmegi that she was suprised when she went to the bank two months after her son's kidney disease was publicised and discovered that the public had donated a total of P21,839 in the campaign account to raise half a million for her son's transplant.

Madigele said that ever since she was approached by a group of Kanye youth, two months ago, who formed a group called My Hood which was dedicated to helping raise funds for Batho Madigele she has received immense support and a few financial pledges.Batho, who is a form five student at Seepapitso Senior School was diagnosed with chronic renal failure and is currently surviving through an automated peritoneal dialysis.
