Barata-Phathi get party name

The Barata-Phathi faction of the ruling Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) will move closer to naming for their proposed party today when they expect to get communication from the Registrar of Societies.

The Barata-Phathi spokesperson, Sidney Pilane said the long awaited name of the new party might be known this week once the Registrar gives them feedback from the 10 names they submitted.

He explained that the Registrar is expected to give them a response on which names they cannot use. "Tomorrow (today) he will give us a response to say which names we can't use, especially those that are protected.
