Bad Weather Forces Air Botswana To Recall Planes

Air Botswana boss, Lance Brogden has confirmed that due to bad weather on Friday, all the afternoon flights to Johannesburg were cancelled.

Brogden told Monitor on Saturday that they were forced to recall two Air Botswana planes in mid-air after they were informed of the stormy weather in Johannesburg on Friday afternoon. "It was just because of bad weather in Johannesburg that our afternoon flights were cancelled. Everybody was inconvenienced including us but this had nothing to do with Air Botswana," Brogden said.

"It is just a normal thing. It happens everywhere. Even in Europe if you are told the weather is not good for take off or landing, you just have to wait until the situation returns to normal. No one can blame you," he said.
