Days after the Botswana Police Service (BPS) shot and killed two armed robbers who had exchanged fire with the police at a liquor store in Taung, the police have earlier today arrested two South African men armed with guns.

The duo aged 40 and 47 were traveling in a motor vehicle reportedly stolen in South Africa.

They were arrested in Block 3, Gaborone in possession of AK 47 rifle, pistol and a number of live rounds of ammunition according to BPS' public relations officer, assistant commissioner Dipheko Motube.
