Are Insurance Agents Qualified?

Some leading insurance companies, their agencies and brokers acting on their behalf in Botswana have been employing insurance sales agents illegally, it is alleged.

The insurers, according to the allegations, have for a long time employed insurance sales agents who did not have the required legal qualifications.

This was confirmed by the Acting Secretary for Financial Affairs at the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning, Iponeng Sennanyana, in a response to a questionnaire.
