Arbiter identifies Sekoba headman

BOBONONG: Moletemane village headman of record, Boitumelo Garegae has said investigations have revealed that Gaotlhobogwe Gaborone Masilo is the heir to the disputed Sekoba Ward chieftainship.

The seat is claimed by Gaborone Masilo, Onketetse Serumola and Adam Masilo. After confirming the claim of Gaborone Masilo, Garegae who was the arbiter in the dispute has said he will meet Kgosi Mmirwa Malema next Monday to give him feedback. From here, the matter will move to the Ngwato tribal authorities in Serowe before proceeding to the minister for the installation of the rightful heir.

Gaborone Masilo made a bid for the throne at a time when the issue of Babirwa chieftainship was about to be put to rest by a taskforce that was appointed to investigate the tribe's royal lineage. Her confirmation as the heir disqualifies Adam Masilo who was gearing to take over from Kgosi Mmirwa Malema.
