Another snub for Ntuane?

In what appears to be an ongoing effort inside the ruling Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) to sideline its outspoken backbenchers, Botsalo Ntuane was last week denied the chance to go and officiate at the Pop Star Botswana Grand finale, Mmegi has learnt.

Just when Ntuane was rehearsing a youthful and energetic speech for the Pop Star Grand finale where he was scheduled to be the guest of honour, the outspoken specially elected MP received a phone call from the show organisers to the effect that he was no longer on the guest list.

In his place, the Minister for Youth, Sports and Culture, Gen. Moeng Pheto, initially scheduled to be guest of honour, nominated Botswana Development Corporation (BDC) Human Resources Manager, Simon Meti to stand in for him.
